Chuck Frantz

President

Chuck is entering his 4th season with Wilson Youth Baseball as a Board Member and Baseball Coach. Chuck previously spent 5 seasons as a Board Member and Coach at STAA (Wilson Union). Chuck has coached numerous age groups from Tee Ball to City County Diamond. Chuck has also previously served as Tee Ball Commissioner (STAA), Majors Commissioner (STAA) and Vice President (STAA and Liberty Wilson).

Chuck is a 1995 graduate of Northampton High School where he played baseball for the High School and Legion teams as well as the Lehigh Valley Prospects. Chuck graduated from Lehigh University in 1999 with a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering and is the Director of Engineering at C2C Design Group (Sinking Spring). Chuck lives in West Lawn with his wife Joy and three kids (Charlie, Sarah and Alex).

John Scolastico

Vice President of Baseball

Coach John Scolastico is entering his 8th season with Wilson Youth Baseball program as a Coach and board member. He is a 1989 Graduate of Reading High School and was a two-year starting catcher for the Red Knights and Gregg Post Legion team. After high school, John attended Alvernia University where he was catcher for the baseball team and a member of the 1991 team that Alvernia inducted in the Alvernia sports Hall of Fame. Currently he is the Head Baseball Coach at Wilson West Middle School and has previously coached at Northwest Jr High and Northeast Jr High in the Reading School District in the 90's. 
He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Alvernia University. In May of 2016 John graduated from Alvernia University with a Master's Degree in Business Administration. John currently is employed with the County of Berks as an Assistant Chief in the Adult Probation and Parole department. He lives in Sinking Spring with wife, Jennifer and two children Nicholas and Isabelle who both playing in the Liberty-Wilson program.

David Brocchi

David grew up in southeast Pennsylvania and Wilmington, Delaware. David played baseball from t-ball until junior high and then played football in high school and college. David attended Widener University. David has a wife and son. David has coached baseball the last 7 seasons for Wilson Union,Liberty Wilson and Wilson Youth Baseball.  David works as a Logistics/Operations Manager at Boscov's Department Stores.

Evan Spohn

Treasurer

Evan grew up in Berks County, graduated from Mount Penn (now Antietam) High School then continued onto Alvernia University where he studied Accounting and Finance. He lives in Sinking Spring with wife and two sons. Evan has served as a coach numerous year at various levels/age groups. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for Wilson Union and now Liberty Wilson Baseball since 2010.

Duane Werley

Vice President for Softball

6 years of softball coaching with STAA Tball and Liberty / Wilson softball as well as 3 years with Liberty / Wilson baseball.  I also served as the 10u softball commissioner this past season.

Graduate of Hamburg Area High School in 1997 and was a 3 year starter on varsity football.  Graduate from Kutztown University with a degree in Finance and also was a 3 year starter for Golden Bears football.

Live in Sinking Spring with my wife Rachel and 3 children: Tatum, Kaya, and Daxton.  Currently employed as a Sr Financial Analyst with the Reading Health Physician Network.

Mario Matesic

Safety Director

Mario Matesic is in his third year working with the board at Wilson Youth Baseball. He is coaching in his fourth season. Mario grew up in North NJ and attended Bergen Catholic High School where he played football and baseball. In college, he pitched for Penn State Altoona, earning all conference honors. He graduated with a degree in Finance from Penn State - University Park in 2003. In 2010, he received an MBA from Kutztown University. 
Mario and his family reside in West Lawn. His wife Anne coached softball for one of their two daughters, Charlotte (6). Their son Brady (8) currently plays in Coach Pitch. Tessa (3) is being groomed for softball on a regular basis. Mario is employed by Penske Truck Leasing as a Financial Manager in Allentown

Matt Kulp

Matt is entering his 6th year serving as a head coach and first year serving on the board. He has coached at the Tee Ball, Coach Pitch and Minors divisions. His goal in coaching is to help kids reach their next level of potential by promoting skill development, teamwork and having fun.

Matt graduated from Manheim Central High School in 1998 where he played football, baseball and wrestled. He went on to play football at Lafayette College, graduating in 2002. Matt works at Legacy Planning Partners serving as a senior planner and partner. 

Matt and his family reside in Sinking Spring. His wife, Christina, coaches soccer and swimming. Their oldest son Ben (9) plays baseball, basketball, water polo and swimming. Daughters Ellie (7) and Sarah (6) play softball, soccer, swimming, diving and gymnastics. Hannah (3) competes with her siblings daily and aspires to play sports

Matt Becker

T-Ball Commissioner

Matt Becker is entering his 6th season with the Wilson Youth Baseball program as a Head Coach and his 2nd as a board member. He is a 1994 Graduate of Muhlenberg High School where he played Football and Basketball.  After high school, Matt attended Albright College where he played football.  He graduated in 1998 with a degree in Business/Marketing.   After his playing days, Matt was honored with inductions into both the Berks Inter County Football and the Muhlenberg High School Hall of Fame.

Matt is employed by Pfizer Inc, and lives in Spring Ridge with his wife, Allison, and their 2 boys Jackson (9) and Mason (5).  Jackson loves being with his friends and playing football, basketball, and baseball.  Mason loves pretending to be a Tyrannosaurus Rex when he's not trying to keep up with his big bro.

Graduate of Kutztown Area High School where I played Varsity Softball and Field Hockey. Received my registered nurse degree from The Reading Hospital School of Health Science.
Coach Van Reed girl's basketball and Spring Township Intramural Field Hockey for 3 years.
Lives in Sinking Spring with husband Duane and 3 children: Tatum, Kaya and Daxton.
Currently employed as an RN with Patient First.

David Perez

David has served on the Board for two years as the Safety Officer and has been elected to a Director position for the coming year.
He has been involved with Wilson area baseball for the last 10 years as his son, Kristopher, has progressed from T-Ball to the Wilson High School team as a Junior. David is retired and looks forward to helping Liberty Wilson Youth Baseball and Softball grow into a premier organization serving the Wilson area community.

Sal Racugglia

Director

Coach Raccuglia, Jr. is a 1991 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and a 1995 graduate of DeSales University where he majored in Mathematics. After receiving his Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate from Alvernia University in the Spring of 1996, he began his teaching career at the former Wilson Central Junior High in 1997.

Coach Raccuglia has been teaching mathematics in the Wilson School District for 17 years (1997-2014). He was the Wilson Central Junior High head baseball coach for 12 seasons (1999-2011) and an assistant coach under head coach Randy Steffy for 2 seasons (1997-1998). He has been the high school assistant basketball coach for the past 13 seasons (2001-2013) under head coach Matt Coldren. In addition, Coach Raccuglia served as an assistant coach in the Muhlenberg A's Baseball Organization under the late, legendary coach Dick Gochnauer for six seasons (1996-2001) and played for coach Gochnauer for four seasons (1988-1991). He spent two summers (2009-2010) as an assistant coach in the Muhlenberg A's Baseball Organization under head coach Phil Raccuglia, his older brother.

In the summertime, Coach Raccuglia has been the director of the West Reading Summer Basketball League under Edward J. Kuhn for the past 17 summers (1997-2013). He is in charge of running the junior high and high school divisions and assists in running the West Reading, Pennsylvania / Sacramento, California Basketball Exchange Program.

He currently resides in West Lawn with his wife, Michelle, and 2-year old son, Joseph and infant daughter, Anna Maria. He is an 8th grade mathematics teacher at Wilson West Middle School.

Josh Voss

Director

Josh Voss was the Secretary for Liberty Wilson Youth Baseball and Softball. He has been a coach with Liberty for five seasons, and a board member for three terms. Josh has two boys in the League,

participating in coach pitch and tee ball. When not coaching, Josh is an attorney, focusing on state government litigation.

Don Figarola

Director

Don grew up in Washington Township, NJ where he played baseball & football throughout high school.  He started his baseball coaching career with Rohrerstown in Lancaster County and has also coached both t-ball and softball for Wilson Youth Baseball and Softball in addition to currently coaching for the Stonersville Flames girls 10U softball team. Don graduated from Elizabethtown College with a BS in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. He has worked at Penske Truck Leasing for 19 years and also works part time for a local tax firm during the tax season. Don is the treasurer for the Green Valley Pool and Swim Club. He lives in Sinking Spring with his wife and two children who both play for Wilson Youth Baseball and Softball.
